ZCF IN THE WIDER WORLD
Media + Press
Whenever possible we like to tell people about what we do. Fortunately, a lot of people like to listen to what we have to say. The chance to engage with the public and speak out about why we think our approach to farming is important and necessary has not just helped put ourselves on the map but create a better understanding of what AgTech start-ups are capable of.
We’re always keen to share our thoughts and discuss our own experience as well as the industry at large at various talks, events or seminars. Here are a few of our favourites so far:
In 2017 Richard gave a TEDx talk about the development of our Clapham site and the significance of being the world’s first subterranean farm.
Richard was invited to chat with Juliet Davenport, CEO and Founder of Good Energy, reflecting on the way business and society operates.
Steven sat down with Forward Fooding CEO and co-founder Alessio to have a ‘virtual fireside chat’ about ZCF and the rise of the AgTech industry.
Steven and Bethany attended the annual Green Frontiers event, hosted by Barclays Bank for their colleagues and clients, innovators and other AgTech entrepreneurs. The event included conversations between Barclays Group CEO Jes Staley and Michael Bloomberg, who discussed sustainable finance, environmental social and corporate governance – and the products and innovations that help to fight climate change.
Last year, Olivia, Tai and Bethany attended the Grocery Girls event near St Paul’s Cathedral and networked with a community of other women involved within the Grocery industry. The evening included a keynote from Jo Whitfield, CEO of Co-op Food and founder of The Grocery Girls.
Essential listening for everyone who cares about the planet. Co-founder Richard joined Amanda and guest co-host Alex Gilbert to chat about Smart food production in Action alongside Faye Tomson, MD of Central Eating:
Co-founder Steve sat down with Claudia to chat about what makes our business unusual. Steven shared the story behind our first farm in Clapham and the Growing Underground brand:
